Overview
The divisors of a number are the integers that divide it without a remainder; for example, the divisors of 12 are 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12. Its multiples are the results of multiplying it by 1, 2, 3 and so on. This calculator shows both together.
Formula
A divisor d satisfies n ÷ d = an integer. A multiple m equals n × k, where k is an integer.
How it works
Enter the number
Use a positive integer.
Choose the number of multiples
Select how many multiples to show.
Read the divisors and multiples
The divisors, their sum and count appear first, followed by the first multiples.
Worked examples
Example 1: divisors of 12
1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12. Their sum is 28 and there are 6 divisors.
Example 2: multiples of 7
7, 14, 21, 28, 35, ...
Frequently asked questions
Is every number divisible by itself?
Yes. Every positive integer is divisible by itself and by 1.
Is 1 a prime number?
No. 1 is not prime, but it is a divisor of every integer.
Why might not all divisors be shown?
Large numbers can have many divisors, so the first 60 are shown and the total count is reported separately.
